Stewardship
Forte expects every team member to serve on a board or committee in the community, especially in the communities we serve.
Why do we ask that of ourselves? We believe that when you are responsible for the operational and financial health of an organization in the community, the way you work and live in the world shifts. When that is true of everyone in an organization, the result is a culture of stewardship.
Stewardship: The careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care.
Allyship
Allyship is true ongoing commitment to actions, behaviors, and practices that advance the interests of a group or cause outside of your own direct self-interest. Allies recognize disparity; they take steps to self-educate; and then they support, advocate or act.
Humbly, Allies continuously listen, learn, look for systemic solutions, and authentically act and engage in positive support.
At Forte, our purpose is to enable the innovations, advancements, good deeds and good community work that makes our world a better place. The act of enabling means that we hone our understanding of the sectors we serve, the individual leaders we serve, the communities we serve and then we steward our unique organizational capacity to maximize our impact.
Then we ally ourselves.
