Dustin Whistler Bio
Dustin Whistler is the founder and principal at Forte Commercial Real Estate. He specializes in corporate real estate representation, including lease, purchase, disposition, sale leaseback, tenant improvements, project-management- led build-to- suit assignments, and finished site negotiations and sales. Historically he has been an expert in underwriting and, leasing and sale of speculative and existing projects.
Since 1996, he has focused on office and industrial property leasing and sales. Dustin offers a unique approach to client needs, combining in-depth market knowledge with a strong client advocacy mindset. His negotiating strategy extends beyond typical deal points, adding value by managing the construction and financing aspects as dictated by the transaction. In his words, “There is no greater honor or better affirmation of my approach than to have the opportunity to represent the same client over and over again.”
Dustin has lived in Denver since 1976. He is a graduate of Cherry Creek High School, and the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned two bachelor's degrees. While at CU, he helped start the CU Row Crew, ran the CoURAGE program (a campus and community outreach organization), participated in student government, and volunteered for the Big Brother program.
Prior to founding Forte Commercial Real Estate, Dustin worked for NAI Fuller Real Estate, CB Richard Ellis, SBA of Denver (a cellular site development consultant), J.D. Edwards, and was the Field Director for a Colorado Attorney General campaign. Today, Dustin is involved in a number of community organizations, including the Colorado BioScience Association, Phamaly Theatre Company, and Colorado Business Committee for th Arts. He's also a member of the Leadership Denver Class of 2017.
